Samana, June 7: In a deeply emotional outreach, Patiala Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav spent several hours on Friday with the families of the children who died in the tragic Samana road accident, offering condolences and support.
Accompanied by ADC Isha Singhal and SDM Richa Goel, Dr. Yadav visited the grieving homes in the afternoon and stayed until evening, listening to the parents share memories and aspirations they had for their lost children.
“I pray that no mother ever has to endure such pain,” Dr. Yadav told the families. “May God grant all of you the strength to carry this burden.”
In a personal gesture, the Deputy Commissioner shared her private contact number with the parents, assuring them of continued support from the administration. She also informed them that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, who met the families earlier in the day, had instructed district officials to take swift and appropriate action to address their concerns.
Mothers of the deceased children, who had earlier voiced frustration over delays, expressed gratitude to Dr. Yadav for her intervention. “It was because of her that the Chief Minister visited us within 24 hours, and all of our demands were accepted,” one of the parents said.
The district administration has since been working in coordination with the state government to ensure that all assistance and relief measures are delivered promptly.
