PATIALA, Nov. 20: Patiala City MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli on Thursday said the Municipal Corporation’s General House passed two resolutions outside the listed agenda, a move he publicly appreciated while thanking Mayor Kundan Gogia for considering them.
MLA Kohli said the House approved naming the newly constructed auditorium as Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Auditorium. A second resolution, passed unanimously, approved allotment of land for a Vishwakarma Community Hall at Raj Mata Mahinder Kaur Park.

Calling the decisions “long-pending and beneficial for residents,” Kohli said he was grateful the House considered both proposals despite them not being part of the official agenda.
A large section of the Ramgarhia community welcomed the land allotment for the community hall, describing it as a demand pending for nearly 20 years. Community members credited Kohli for pushing the issue forward.
Kohli said the House took up both matters “after discussion and with complete consensus,” adding that the approvals would serve long-standing public needs.
