Patiala, 21 February 2025 — Patiala Police raided two spa centers on Friday, uncovering a prostitution racket and arresting 24 individuals, including eight foreign women.
The Special Cell team conducted the operation based on a tip-off, targeting two establishments operating under the names “Ark” and “Sunshine.”
“These spa centers were being used for illegal activities,” said Special Cell Incharge Harjinder Singh Dhillon. “We have registered a case against the owners, Karamjit Singh and Jatinder Singh, who are currently absconding but will be arrested soon.”
Among the 16 women taken into custody, eight claimed to be from Thailand.
According to police, they were housed within the spa centers by the owners. The investigation is ongoing.
