PBKS vs DC Match Rescheduled, New IPL 2025 Dates Announced!

13 may, PBKS vs DC Match Reschedule: IPL 2025, which was called off on May 8 after military tensions between India and Pakistan, will now resume. The BCCI confirmed on Monday that the IPL 2025 season will be resumed. The new schedule will come into effect from May 17 and the final of the tournament will be played on June 3. The tournament was halted on May 8 when the match between PBKS vs DC was canceled due to security reasons. The incident took place when Pakistan tried to intrude into Indian airspace near Chandigarh, causing a blackout in the stadium. But IPL 2025 will not start with the match stopped at the last minute.

The much-awaited return of IPL will be on 17 May with a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings in Bengaluru. As per the revised schedule, the league matches will be played in six cities – Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Mumbai. The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will be played in Jaipur on 24 June. That is, this match will start again. Points have not been distributed between the two teams.

What was the condition of the match that day

When this match was stopped on 8 May, a match of 10.1 overs was played that day. Punjab batted first and scored 122 runs for the loss of 1 wicket. Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya batted fast and scored fifties. Delhi took the wicket of Priyansh on the first ball of the 11th over, after which Shreyas Iyer came to bat, however after this the match was cancelled by turning off the floodlights.

The BCCI said in its statement to start the IPL, “The BCCI is happy to announce that the Tata IPL 2025 will now resume. After detailed discussions with all key stakeholders including the government and security agencies, the board has decided to go ahead with the season.
