PBKS vs RCB Highlights: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) became the first team to reach the final of IPL 2025 by defeating Punjab Kings in a one-sided match. RCB bowlers overshadowed Punjab
In the Qualifier-1 match of IPL 2025 played in Mullanpur, RCB won the toss and decided to bowl first and bowled out Punjab team for just 101 runs in 14.1 overs. In response, RCB won the match by scoring 106 runs for two wickets in 10 overs. RCB team is now one step away from winning its first title. Punjab team has a chance to enter the title match despite the defeat. Being on top in the group stage, Punjab will get an extra chance. Punjab will face the winner of the eliminator between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians on Friday in Qualifier-2 on Sunday. If Punjab manages to win that match, it will reach the final where it will face RCB in Ahmedabad on June 3.
RCB reaches final after nine years
RCB has thus ended its nine-year drought of reaching the IPL final. RCB last reached the title match in 2016 and since then it has been struggling to enter the title match. Last season, RCB’s journey ended in the eliminator itself, but this time the team has a golden opportunity to win the title.
