Brahmapur, 21 January 2025: A toy balloon resembling an airplane and bearing the logo of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) created a stir Tuesday in Brahmapur village of Gagret, Himachal Pradesh’s Una district.
The balloon was first spotted by a local youth, who alerted village panchayat head Lucky Sharma. Sharma then contacted the police, prompting officers Ravipal and Kulbhushan Guleria from the Daulatpur outpost to visit the site and take possession of the object.
“It was a plane-shaped toy balloon made of plastic, likely carried here by the wind,” said Ravipal, adding that no suspicious items were found with it.
The discovery has been brought under investigation to ensure no further concerns arise. Officials noted that similar incidents in the past have often resulted from balloons drifting across borders due to weather conditions.
