Chandigarh, October 14, 2024: Punjab Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and Mohali Police have solved the murder case of Subhash, alias Sohu by arresting a Rajasthan-based arms supplier in connection with the brutal killing, where two unidentified assailants shot Subhash five times in the head on October 8 in Sangria, Jodhpur.

DGP Gaurav Yadav revealed that three ammunition suppliers, Bhanu Sisodia, Mohammad Asif, and Anil Kumar, from Balotra district, Rajasthan, were arrested after investigators traced their involvement through previous contacts.

The breakthrough came on Friday when AGTF and SAS Nagar police teams arrested Navjot Singh, alias Jota, a key player in the case, while he was attempting to acquire a shipment of two pistols and eight live cartridges in Derabassi. Navjot Singh is linked to foreign-based handlers Pavitar (US) and Manjinder (France), with over 21 criminal cases registered against him.

According to DGP Yadav, mastermind Bhanu Sisodia confessed to planning the murder in February 2024 to avenge the death of his partner, Anil Lega. Mohammad Asif and Anil Kumar also played pivotal roles in the plot.

More revelations are expected as the investigation unfolds. SSP Deepak Pareek shared that the accused from Rajasthan admitted to a transaction of Rs 1 lakh with Navjot Singh Jota in exchange for supplying weapons or offering safe havens in Punjab.

These weapons were sourced from Madhya Pradesh.

The police are now coordinating with the Rajasthan Police to arrest additional suspects involved in the case.
