PSEB Declares Class 8 Results, Registers 97.3% Pass Rate

Chandigarh, April 4: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) announced the Class 8 results for the 2024–25 academic session on Friday, recording a pass percentage of 97.3%. Students can access their results through the official website www.pseb.ac.in.

A total of 2,90,471 students from 10,471 schools appeared in the board examination, out of which 2,82,627 students were declared successful.

Puneet Verma of Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Hoshiarpur, and Navjot Kaur of Sant Mohan Das Memorial Senior Secondary School, Faridkot, both secured 100% marks and shared the top position.

The third position was bagged by another Navjot Kaur, a student of Guru Nanak Public Senior Secondary School, Amritsar, who scored 99.83%.

According to the board’s merit policy, in case of a tie in marks, the younger candidate is placed higher.

Speaking on the result declaration, PSEB Chairman Dr. Amarpal Singh said, “This year’s board exams were conducted with greater transparency and strict measures. We will continue to take steps to enhance the quality of question papers and improve the curriculum going forward.”

Students who did not qualify will have the opportunity to appear for the supplementary examination in June 2025.

The schedule will be released separately through school logins and published in newspapers. Results are also available at www.indiaresults.com.
