Chandigarh, October 31, 2025 — Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s Mission Chardhikala, aimed at mobilising resources for the state’s development and disaster relief, is drawing wide public participation, with donations coming in from across Punjab and abroad.

Officials said the campaign has evolved beyond a government drive into a public movement symbolising unity and cooperation. Mann said the growing support reflected “people’s faith in Punjab’s collective strength and its future.”

“I am confident Punjab will now move ahead with greater speed. Together, we will make it the number one state in the country,” the Chief Minister said while thanking donors.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, funds collected under the initiative are meant for relief and rehabilitation of disaster-affected families as well as for infrastructure and welfare programmes. Mann assured that all contributions would be used “honestly and transparently.”

Several ministers have presented donations collected through their constituencies. Cabinet Minister Aman Arora handed over ₹55.62 lakh gathered from party workers and supporters. Laljit Singh Bhullar submitted ₹28.81 lakh raised by citizens of the Patti constituency, while Dr. Balbir Singh contributed ₹12.48 lakh for flood-affected families.

The Chief Minister’s Office said these contributions represent the public’s “readiness to take shared responsibility for Punjab’s progress.” Citizens can view donation details and fund utilisation through the state’s transparency portal, rangla.punjab.gov.in.

Officials said the initiative aims to strengthen relief measures, speed up recovery in disaster-hit areas, and improve welfare infrastructure. Mann added that Mission Chardhikala would serve as the foundation for a “stronger and self-reliant Punjab.”
