Patiala, June 16 – In a major step towards e-governance and citizen convenience, the Punjab government has rolled out 34 new services—including six Revenue Department and 28 Transport Department facilities—across 42 Sewa Kendras in Patiala district or via helpline 1076.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Preeti Yadav said residents no longer need to visit tehsil offices or patwaris for key revenue services like mutation, Jamabandi corrections, land report registration, alerts, and digital land record access.
Transport-related services now available include driving licence applications and renewals, duplicate licences, address or DOB updates, RC changes, NOCs, and fitness certificates for commercial vehicles.
The initiative aims to enhance transparency, reduce public inconvenience, and save time, reflecting the state’s push for digitisation and efficient service delivery.
