GARHSHANKAR / HOSHIARPUR, FEB 5: The Punjab Government has officially commenced a year-long, state-wide celebration to mark the 649th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji, framing the festivities as a precursor to a historic 650th anniversary in 2027. A three-day state-level event began on Wednesday at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, a site of immense spiritual significance, drawing cabinet ministers, religious leaders, and devotees to honor the Guru’s legacy of equality and social harmony.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is expected to arrive at the holy shrine on February 6 to offer prayers for the state’s prosperity and brotherhood.
