New Delhi/Chandigarh, Dec. 26: A young boy from Punjab was on Friday conferred with the Prime Minister’s National Child Award in New Delhi for his selfless support to Army personnel deployed along the border during Operation Sindoor.
Shravan Singh, a resident of the Ferozpora area in Punjab, earned national recognition for regularly assisting soldiers by bringing them food and refreshments from his home, officials said.
During the operation, the boy would deliver lassi, milk and bread to Army personnel, a gesture that drew widespread appreciation for his sense of responsibility and compassion at a young age.
Shravan Singh was felicitated by President Droupadi Murmu in the presence of senior officials, who acknowledged his courage, kindness and contribution in supporting the armed forces.
His actions have since been widely praised, with many describing him as a symbol of youthful patriotism and humanity.
