Chandigarh, October 14, 2024: Panchayat elections across Punjab will be held tomorrow, October 15 with the Punjab State Election Commission appointing senior IAS officer and Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, Bhupinder Singh, as the election observer for Malerkotla district.
According to reports, he has urged the entire election staff to ensure a responsible and impartial voting process for the Gram Panchayat Elections-2024.
While dispatching polling teams from Government College Malerkotla and Amargarh, Bhupinder Singh said that thorough preparation and confidence in their duties would help election workers avoid any difficulties.
He stressed the importance of adhering strictly to the election code, warning that any carelessness, indiscipline, or laxity would not be tolerated.
“Even a small mistake in the election process can have serious consequences,” Singh added, urging full compliance with the State Election Commission’s guidelines.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Pallavi reassured the public that district and police administrations have made complete arrangements to ensure peaceful, fair, and fearless elections.
Election materials are being distributed to polling teams after completing all preparations at the booths.
She also underlined strict adherence to the election code by officials and cautioned against negligence.
Dr. Pallavi appealed to voters to exercise their constitutional right freely, without any fear or external pressure.
She assured that the administration would ensure a trouble-free voting experience at all polling stations.
