Chandigarh, 07 October 2024: The Punjab Government has dispatched 50 headmasters and headmistresses for training at IIM Ahmedabad as part of a special initiative to enhance school management.
The group departed from Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar Airport under the auspices of Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains. Minister Bains announced that this marks the third batch of educators sent to IIM Ahmedabad for specialized training, scheduled from October 7 to October 11, 2024.
He said that IIM Ahmedabad is renowned globally for its management training programs, and the Punjab government is committed to equipping government school headteachers with advanced skills.
Previously, the Punjab government has trained 202 principals at a prestigious educational institution in Singapore, and an additional 100 headmasters and headmistresses have received training from IIM Ahmedabad.
