CHANDIGARH, Aug 4 – Punjab’s industry minister Sanjeev Arora on Sunday resigned as managing director of Hampton Sky Realty Ltd (formerly Ritesh Properties and Industries Limited) and from the boards of eight other associated companies, citing his responsibilities as a newly elected MLA and cabinet minister.

In a resignation letter addressed to the board of Hampton Sky Realty, Arora said his assumption of public office requires his “undivided attention and unwavering commitment” to the people of Punjab.

“It is unequivocally untenable for me to continue holding the office of managing director,” the letter stated.

Arora was elected to the Punjab Legislative Assembly on June 23, 2025, and sworn in as a cabinet minister on July 3.

Thanking the board, senior management, and stakeholders, Arora said he had tried to serve with integrity and hoped the company would stay on its path of “responsible growth.”
He added that he is now fully focused on fulfilling his constitutional duties with sincerity, transparency, and dedication.
