by The_unmuteenglish

Chandigarh, March 29 — The Punjab School Education Department announced a uniform school timing across the state, effective from April 1. All primary, middle, high, and senior secondary schools will operate from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm until September 30, 2025. The change aims to protect students from the afternoon heat during summer.

Previously, primary schools operated from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, while middle, high, and senior secondary schools ran from 8:30 am to 2:50 pm. The revised schedule standardizes the timing for all schools.

On March 29, schools across Punjab are holding a Parents-Teacher Meeting (PTM) to discuss students’ performance and the upcoming session.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is scheduled to visit schools in Dhuri, while Education Minister Harjot Bains will inspect schools in Mohali.
