Ontario, April 24: Authorities in Ontario, Canada, are investigating the sudden death of a 24-year-old student from Punjab who died under mysterious circumstances while returning from her classes. Anmoldeep Kaur, a resident of Akalgarh (Sudhar Bazar) originally from village Manuke, reportedly fainted on a park bench during her usual commute home from college.
Bystanders discovered the unconscious woman and alerted local emergency services, who reached the scene shortly after. Despite efforts by those present, she could not be revived. Her father, former Army Subedar Parminder Singh, stated that Anmoldeep had moved to Canada in 2021 to pursue higher education and was also employed as a child care worker. He noted that her application for permanent residency was currently under review by Canadian immigration authorities.
The local police have begun a comprehensive inquiry into the incident, which includes reviewing footage from nearby CCTV cameras and recording statements from eyewitnesses present in the park. The family’s tragedy is deepened by the fact that Anmoldeep’s mother, Amardeep Kaur, was in the process of preparing for a visit to see her daughter at the time of the incident.
Her brother, Dilpreet Singh, who resides in the United States, is currently in coordination with Canadian law enforcement to monitor the progress of the investigation. The family remains in shock as they await further clarity on the medical or environmental factors that led to the student’s sudden collapse.
