Chandigarh, Jan 12: Aam Aadmi Party Punjab State Media In-charge Baltej Pannu on Monday declared that the state remains completely safe under the Bhagwant Mann government, asserting that law and order is firmly under control.

Speaking at the party office in Chandigarh, Pannu stated that any individual who attempts to take the law into their own hands will face immediate and decisive action.

The media in-charge clarified that the state follows a zero-tolerance policy toward organized crime.

He cited the recent breakthrough in the AAP sarpanch murder case, where Punjab Police tracked suspects across 110 kilometers using CCTV footage and arrested two shooters from Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

“Any person who fires bullets or commits violence will not be dealt with softly; they will be answered in the same language. Those who believe they can commit crimes in Punjab and hide in other states are living in a serious misconception,” Pannu said.

Pannu reordered the narrative to focus on recent police successes, including the arrest of two Godara gang members following an encounter in Ludhiana’s Haibowal area. He also noted that shooters involved in the Mohali firing case targeting sports promoter Rana Balachoria were apprehended as far away as Kolkata, West Bengal.

“Punjab Police will chase them to any state and arrest them. Our force is now equipped with modern vehicles, advanced surveillance systems, and the latest technology, making it fully prepared to handle any situation,” Pannu stated, responding to opposition claims regarding the Anti-Gangster Task Force.

The government maintains a clear distance from criminal elements, contrasting its approach with previous regimes. Pannu concluded by stating that the fight against gangsters is being carried out with the same intensity as the war against drugs, ensuring that no criminal is spared regardless of their influence or family background.
