Seoul, May 22: Raghav Chadha, who is in Seoul for the 2025 Asian Leadership Conference, shared a photo with former UK Prime Ministers Rishi Sunak and Tony Abbott, saying, “Not every day do you find yourself seated between two former Prime Ministers — the highly distinguished Rishi Sunak on the left, and the widely respected Tony Abbott on the right. A rather special moment.”
At the 2025 Asian Leadership Conference (ALC) in Seoul, Chadha represented India as one of the youngest political voices in Asia. In his keynote, he declared that Operation Sindoor was not only a military action but a decisive diplomatic message — that India will no longer tolerate terrorism.
Chadha, 33, is the youngest Rajya Sabha MP in Indian history and was recently named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. Speaking on a global platform alongside figures such as former UK Prime Ministers Rishi Sunak and Tony Abbott, as well as Mike Pompeo and other top policymakers, he addressed critical sessions on national security and youth-led governance.
The 2025 ALC’s theme, “The Rise of Nations: Pathways to Great Prosperity,” also marked key historical milestones for South Korea — 80 years of liberation and 75 years since the Korean War.
Chadha’s sessions included “Young Leaders Reshaping Governance in Asia” and “Crisis-Proofing Nations,” where he shared insights from his policy work in Delhi, especially in strengthening public health systems and water access.
Ending his speech with a strong message, Chadha said, “We are a peaceful nation, but we will not permit the use of terror as a tool of foreign policy. That era is over.”
