Chandigarh, 03 November 2024: A major weather update has emerged regarding changes in Punjab’s climate with the Meteorological Department issuing a rain alert for the region, signaling a drop in temperatures.
According to inputs, residents are advised to prepare for the colder weather by bringing out quilts, blankets, and warm clothing.
The department predicts rain in several areas of Punjab. Following Diwali, pollution levels have surged in the state, prompting an advisory from authorities.
Notably, the end of October saw unseasonably warm conditions, with little cold experienced during the month.
According to meteorological experts, this prolonged warmth can be attributed to the absence of Western Disturbances, which typically bring rain and snowfall to the northern hilly regions of India.
