Chandigarh, 8 October 2024: A major weather update for Punjab has been announced with the Meteorological Department reporting that a change in weather is expected starting today, with rain anticipated in several districts over the next two days.
Areas likely to experience rainfall include Muktsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Bathinda, Ferozepur, Faridkot, Mansa, Fazilka, and Pathankot.
In addition, the Meteorological Department has issued alerts for lightning and storms. Rain is forecasted to continue in Punjab until October 10, after which the weather is expected to clear.
Notably, there is no chance of rain in Chandigarh today.
