Srinagar, August 22: Rayat Bahra Professional University (RBPU), Hoshiarpur, has announced plans to strengthen its focus on employment-driven education in order to equip students with market-ready skills, Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra, who also heads the Rayat Bahra Group said, “the university is committed to preparing students for placements even before they complete their courses.”
Speaking to reporters in Kashmir’s capital, Srinagar, Bahra said that the university’s goal is to combine quality education with strong career outcomes.
“Our professional courses are structured to make students employment-ready and give them a competitive edge in the job market,” he noted.
Looking ahead, Bahra revealed that the university is working to introduce a series of new-age courses in partnership with multinational corporations.
He said such collaborations will further boost the employment prospects of graduates.
“One of our key strengths is the assurance that students are not only taught but also trained for employability before they finish their studies,” Bahra mentioned.
Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr. Chander Mohan and other senior officials of the university were also present during the interaction.
Founded in 2008, Rayat Bahra Professional University is a self-financed institution spread across 55 acres. The campus currently has more than 10,000 students and is equipped with modern facilities, including hostels, advanced laboratories, extensive libraries, and sports infrastructure. University officials said the institution emphasizes academic rigor, industry-aligned programmes, and overall student development.
The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across a wide range of disciplines. These include Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Education, Law, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences, along with diploma and certificate-level medical courses.
