Moga, Nov 25, 2024: A heartbreaking incident occurred in Moga district on the Dharamkot-Kotsekhan road, where a tragic road accident resulted in the death of a father and his 5-month-old child.
According to reports, the family, traveling on a motorcycle, was struck by an unidentified vehicle, leading to the immediate death of the rider and his infant son. The mother of the child was injured in the accident and has been hospitalized.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when the motorcycle was hit by the unknown vehicle, causing it to lose control. Both the father and child died on the spot. The mother, visibly distraught, was left in shock on the roadside, while locals informed authorities of the tragic event.
The deceased, identified as Manak Singh, was a resident of Maujgarh village. His brother, Major Singh, who was informed of the accident, arrived at the scene and expressed his grief. “My elder brother, Manak Singh, was traveling with his wife and child when this terrible accident took place. I was called and rushed to the spot, and now, my entire family is shattered by the loss of my brother and my nephew,” said Major Singh.
The bodies have been taken to the Moga Civil Hospital for post-mortem, and authorities are investigating the incident. The identity of the vehicle involved in the accident remains unknown.
The tragic loss has left the family devastated, and the local community is in shock over the incident.
