Chandigarh, April 26 — Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has announced a compensation package for the family of Navy Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, who was killed in the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.
The package includes a financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh and the provision of a government job for a family member, as per the wishes of Lt Narwal’s parents. “This cowardly act of terrorism, which took the life of our brave soldier, is condemned in the strongest terms,” CM Saini said, expressing his grief over the tragic loss.
Lt Narwal, a resident of Karnal, was among the unarmed tourists targeted in the attack in Pahalgam. The Chief Minister’s announcement reflects his commitment to supporting the grieving family and honoring the sacrifice of their son.
