Sultanpur Lodhi, Sept. 6 — Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh on Saturday visited flood-affected villages in Sultanpur Lodhi, assessing the damage and interacting with residents in Mand Indrapur. He was accompanied by constituency in-charge Sajjan Singh Cheema and Additional Deputy Commissioner Varinderpal Singh Bajwa.
Speaking to the families, Singh assured that the Punjab government is committed to supporting those affected by the floods. “The government stands with the flood-affected during this difficult time and will leave no stone unturned to fully compensate the losses suffered by the people,” he said.
Singh added that while state authorities are already providing compensation, an appeal has been made to the central government to announce a large-scale financial package for Punjab, with special emphasis on ensuring maximum relief for farmers.
During his visit, Singh also distributed essential relief materials to families impacted by the floods, aiming to provide immediate assistance amid ongoing relief efforts.
