Saurabh Tiwary & Shahbaz Nadeem Elected to Lead Jharkhand Cricket!

Jharkhand, 20 May 2025: Former India cricketers Saurabh Tiwary and Shahbaz Nadeem have been elected secretary and joint secretary of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association respectively.

Tiwary, a left-handed batsman, and Nadeem, a left-arm spinner, both retire from international cricket in 2024. Tiwary, 35, has played three ODIs for India after making his debut against Australia in Visakhapatnam in 2010, while Nadeem, 35, has played two Tests for the country after making his debut against South Africa in 2019.

In the election for the new committee, Tiwary defeated his rival SB Singh 438-194. Nadeem also registered a big win for the post of joint secretary. He defeated Raj Kumar Sharma 409-199. Ajay Nath Shahdev defeated SK Behera 421-213 for the post of JSCA president while Sanjay Pandey defeated Nandu Patel 381-235 for the post of vice-president. Amitav Ghosh defeated Soumya Sen 402-221 for the post of treasurer.
