Chandigarh, May 11: India and Pakistan declared a ceasefire on Saturday after four days of conflict. However, the ceasefire started at 5 pm on Saturday and a few hours later, Pakistan again opened fire on the border. Now Pakistan has been reprimanded by former Indian cricketers. Virender Sehwag and Shikhar Dhawan have targeted Pakistan by posting on social media.
Pakistan violated ceasefire
In fact, despite the declaration of ceasefire, Pakistan did not stop its nefarious activities. It violated the ceasefire. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri called a press conference at 11 pm on Saturday, in which he said that Pakistan has violated the ceasefire, to which India gave a befitting reply. Misri said that the Indian Army will give a befitting reply to such an act from Pakistan. Even after the ceasefire, the tension between the two countries has not reduced. Just four hours after the declaration of ceasefire between India and Pakistan, drones were seen and explosions were heard in Jammu and Kashmir. After this the army retaliated. After the sound of drones and explosions was heard, electricity was again cut off in many cities of Rajasthan and Punjab as a precautionary measure.
Sehwag-Dhawan-Venkatesh lashed out
After this, Sehwag posted from his X account and shared a picture. “A dog’s tail stays crooked,” he wrote. Additionally, Shikhar Dhawan posted on X. “The cheap country has once again demonstrated its cheapness to the entire world,” he wrote.
Venkatesh Prasad, a former cricket player, also posted on Twitter. “The Army, ISI, and Prime Minister are the three power centers in Pakistan,” he said.Even if one of them agrees,
it is almost impossible for all three to agree on one thing. The last three days were not enough for Pakistan. After this provocation (violation of ceasefire), India will teach Pakistan a lifelong lesson.
Orders to take concrete and strict action against ceasefire violations
BSF sub-inspector Mohammad Imtiyaz was martyred in cross-border firing on the international border in RS Pura area. Seven other soldiers were injured in the attack. All are admitted in the military hospital. Several blasts also took place in Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat. By night, a blackout had to be imposed in 15 cities. The central government called it a gross violation of the agreement and gave the army permission to retaliate. At 11 pm, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri held Pakistan responsible for this and called it condemnable. He said, Pakistan should understand the situation properly and take appropriate action immediately to stop it. The army is keeping a close watch on the situation. It has been ordered to take concrete and strict action against ceasefire violations. However, after this warning, firing stopped in some cities.
India-Pakistan to hold talks again on 12 May at 12 noon
Earlier, Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO), who was under pressure due to India’s retaliatory action on Saturday morning, had a telephonic conversation with the Indian DGMO. Both sides had agreed to stop all attacks and military action on land, air and sea from 5 pm. However, India clarified that its firm and strict action against terrorism will continue. Also, the Indus Water Treaty agreement will also remain suspended. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that the Pakistani DGMO had called the Indian DGMO at 3:35 pm. It was agreed that talks will be held again on 12 May at 12 noon to decide the future steps.
