New Delhi, Oct 22: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has signaled a major political consolidation in Punjab by predicting that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will form the next state government. Speaking during the inauguration of development projects in Delhi, Shah stated, “Punjab mein is baar NDA ki sarkar honey jaa rahi hai” (Punjab this time is set to install an NDA government). Political observers view the declaration as a precursor to the formalization of an electoral understanding between the BJP, the Shiromani Akali Dal, and breakaway Akali factions.
During his address, Shah launched a direct offensive against opposition rivals, forecasting that the Congress would remain out of power for three decades due to its negative political stance. Turning his focus to the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its convener Arvind Kejriwal, the Home Minister asserted that voters in Punjab would root out the incumbent administration over its failure to handle key state issues.
