Shinde Receives Death Threat; Mumbai Police Investigate

Mumbai, 20 February — Mumbai police received emails on Thursday threatening to bomb Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s car, an official said.

The threats were sent to Goregaon and JJ Marg police stations in the morning, prompting an immediate investigation.

“The IP address of the sender is being traced. All angles are being probed,” the official added.

Earlier, a senior Mumbai police official mentioned that a threat call had also been received.
