Dehradun, 13 November 2024: A devastating road accident in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, late Monday night claimed the lives of six people, leaving one seriously injured. The crash occurred near ONGC Chowk around 2 a.m. when a speeding car lost control and slammed into a tree, completely shattering upon impact.
According to initial reports, the victims included three men and three women who died instantly at the scene. The collision was so severe that one victim’s head was severed, while the lone survivor remains in critical condition. The police have apprehended the accused involved in the incident.
The mangled remains of the car highlight the intensity of the crash, with the entire vehicle’s upper structure, including the doors and windows, crumpled beyond recognition. Authorities suspect that excessive speed on the empty road led to the accident, as the car veered off course before crashing into the tree.
Emergency services arrived promptly, but the extent of the damage made it clear that the accident was fatal for most occupants. The incident has sparked concerns over reckless driving, particularly on empty roads late at night, which is believed to be a key factor in this tragic accident.
