MOGA, April 8:– Three men died after their car rammed into a road divider on the Moga-Barnala highway near Bodde village early Monday morning, police said.

Gurmail Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) of Badhni Kalan, said the deceased were identified as Harpreet Singh, 29, and Parminder Kumar, 35, both from Ranian village, and Surjit Singh, 35, from Bilaspur in Moga district. All three were friends and were headed towards Barnala when the accident occurred.

“The car appears to have been speeding when it struck the divider,” the SHO said, adding that no signs point to the involvement of another vehicle. “The car was found severely damaged near the fields around 7 am,” he noted.

According to Singh, a petrol pump watchman nearby reported hearing a loud sound around 2:30 am but could not spot the wreckage due to poor visibility. “The vehicle had landed in a low-lying area, which likely kept it hidden for hours,” he said.

The bodies and wreckage were later retrieved by a team from the Sadar Suraksha Force. Preliminary findings suggest the car veered off the road at high speed, causing the fatal crash.
