Chandigarh, April 8: Aam Aadmi Party MP Malvinder Singh Kang declared on Wednesday that the recent actions of Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal indicate a profound sense of desperation. Kang maintained that the Akali leader has begun questioning the sanctity of Sri Akal Takht Sahib only after realizing that his political influence is rapidly eroding across the state.
The MP noted that this behavior signals a lack of respect for established Sikh maryada. He asserted that targeting the supreme Sikh institution is an unfortunate turn for a political leader who once claimed to represent the interests of the Panth.
“When Sukhbir Singh Badal was summoned by Sri Akal Takht Sahib, he admitted all his mistakes in the presence of Guru Maharaj,” Kang affirmed. “The world watched him accept his faults during a live broadcast, yet he later changed his stance during a rally in Sri Muktsar Sahib, claiming he did nothing wrong.”
Kang stated that alleging a conspiracy behind the decisions of the five Singh Sahiban is a shameful act. He noted that even those outside the faith would not commit such a grave mistake against an institution of such historical importance.
The AAP leader maintained that while the public has already been holding Badal accountable for his past governance, this latest disrespect toward the supreme institution is something the community will not overlook. He declared that the Panth will ensure he faces the consequences for these statements in the future.
