Mohali, Aug. 29 – Swaraj Tractors, a part of the Mahindra Group, on Friday announced the roll-out of its 25th lakh tractor from its manufacturing facility in Mohali, marking another major milestone in the company’s five-decade journey.

The achievement comes just three years after the brand crossed the 20-lakh production mark in 2022, underscoring its growth in India’s farm machinery sector.

Swaraj’s journey began in 1974 with the launch of the ‘Swaraj 724,’ a 20–25 HP tractor that also made history as India’s first indigenously designed and manufactured tractor. The company achieved its first major milestone of 5 lakh units in 2002 and has since expanded fivefold in the past 23 years.

Company executives described the milestone as a reflection of farmers’ trust and Swaraj’s contribution to mechanising Indian agriculture.
