New Delhi/Chandigarh, December 26, 2024: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, marking Veer Baal Diwas, visited Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib to honor the sacrifices of the Sahibzadas and described their martyrdom as a golden chapter in Indian history, symbolizing steadfastness in the defense of faith and culture.
More than 16,000 programs commemorating the occasion were organized nationwide under the BJP’s leadership.
Chugh noted these events, held across all party mandals, were inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to honor the Sahibzadas’ legacy. “From Kerala to Kashmir and Guwahati to Kanyakumari, the day underscores their message of resilience and sacrifice.”
Chugh pointed out that Rashtrapati Bhavan celebrated Veer Baal Diwas by honoring brave children, while the Prime Minister engaged with thousands of children at Bharat Mandapam, aimed to instill the Sahibzadas’ values in future generations.
The Sahibzadas, sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, resisted power, greed, and forced conversions, choosing martyrdom to uphold their faith.
Chugh regarded their sacrifice as a timeless jewel of Indian culture, pointing up its significance as a national heritage transcending Punjab.
Veer Baal Diwas, he concluded, serves as a powerful reminder of loyalty, courage, and dedication. “It inspires millions to embrace the values of sacrifice and commitment to the nation and faith, ensuring the Sahibzadas’ legacy endures.”
