Jaipur, August 30: Technical disruptions during the NEET-PG examination at two test centres in Jaipur led to protests by candidates following repeated computer system outages during the test schedule. The disruptions occurred at two iON Digital Zone centres located in the Sitapura area, where candidates reported that the examination commenced late and was subsequently interrupted by recurring technical failures.
Several candidates reported that computer terminals shut down multiple times throughout the test session, with systems powering off repeatedly after restarting. Candidates raised concerns regarding technical preparation at the centres and questioned whether the disruptions could impact exam confidentiality, noting that test questions had loaded onto screens prior to the system shutdowns.
Aspirants assembled outside the examination venue to voice their grievances, demanding an inquiry into the technical failures and requesting that measures be taken to ensure candidates are not adversely affected. Candidate Gunjan stated that aspirants invest significant time preparing for competitive examinations and expect functional technical infrastructure to support uninterrupted testing.
Police and administrative personnel arrived at the scene following reports of commotion outside the venue. ACP Jaipur South Lalit Sharma affirmed that police officials were present at the location to ensure order while administration officials reviewed the situation.
