Kaithal, Haryana, October 29, 2024 – A family’s Diwali celebrations turned to heartbreak in Kaithal’s Mayapuri Colony when 12-year-old Harsh Alok was fatally struck by an unknown vehicle.
Identified as Harsh, the only brother to his two sisters, was born after years of waiting by his parents. Tragically, he lost his life while playing near home.
According to his maternal uncle, Harsh, a student in the eighth grade, was riding a new scooter when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle. The family is devastated by the loss, with Harsh’s father reportedly fainting repeatedly, unable to cope with the shock.
The police have launched an investigation into the accident. Investigating Officer Paras Kumar confirmed that Harsh’s body was released to the family after a post-mortem and promised that “strict action will be taken against the unknown driver responsible for this tragedy.”
