Ten Injured in Kangra Bus Accident

Kangra, October 28, 2024 — Ten people were injured in a private bus accident on the Raja Ka Talab-Jawali road in Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh, on Monday.

According to reports, the bus, traveling from Sansarpur Terrace towards Jawali, lost control near a beer factory in Samalana and fell into a drain.

Local residents quickly rushed to the scene to assist the injured passengers and the driver. An ambulance was called, and the victims were transported to the civil hospital in Jawali for treatment. Among the injured, one passenger, Rakesh Kumar, was referred to Tanda for further medical care.

Police arrived shortly after the accident to investigate the cause, which has yet to be determined. However, the bus operator claimed that a steering lock malfunction led to the incident. SP Nurpur Ashok Ratan has confirmed the accident and stated that further action is being taken.

This incident follows another collision in Bhadore near Nurpur the previous day, where four women were injured in a multi-vehicle accident.
