Chandigarh, November 12, 2025 — Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Tuesday announced a three-day ‘Pensioner Sewa Mela’ to be held at all District Treasury Offices across the state from November 13 to 15 to complete essential e-KYC registration for state government pensioners on the newly launched Pensioner Sewa Portal.

Addressing the announcement, Cheema said, “All pensioners are invited to visit their nearest District Treasury Office during the Mela to register themselves and to experience seamless digital pension services.” He noted that the e-KYC process is mandatory for registration on the portal, which was launched on November 3, 2025, as a single platform for pension-related services.

The portal, accessible at pensionersewa.punjab.gov.in, offers six key services, including submission of digital life certificates via the ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ app, conversion of pension into family pension, application for Leave Travel Concession (LTC), pension-related grievance submission, and updating personal details. The app is available for Android and iOS users.

Cheema explained that once registered, pensioners can access these services online through their mobile phones, PCs, or laptops. Alternatively, they can avail services at Sewa Kendras, request home delivery, visit Pension Disbursing Banks, or District Treasury Offices. “The process has been designed to be simple and user-friendly,” the Finance Minister said.

To address issues arising after the portal’s launch, the Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts, Pension and New Pension Scheme has set up a dedicated War Room. Three helpline numbers — 18001802148, 01722996385, and 01722996386 — will operate on working days from 9 AM to 5 PM to assist pensioners with grievances.
