Bandipora, Jan 04: Three soldiers were killed, and three others were critically injured in a road accident in Bandipora.
The accident occurred when an Army vehicle skidded off the Bandipora-Srinagar road near SK Payeen and fell into a deep gorge, resulting in severe injuries to six soldiers.
An official said that the injured soldiers were immediately rushed to the district hospital in Bandipora, where two were declared dead on arrival.
“Three critically injured soldiers were then transferred to Srinagar for advanced treatment, but one succumbed to his injuries en route. One other soldier was earlier referred to Sumbal hospital,” the official added. —(KNO)
