New Delhi: Delhi Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive public advisory detailing traffic diversions and regulated movement across major corridors in the capital in preparation for the BRICS Summit 2026. The measures include specific arrangements for a scheduled motorcade rehearsal operating between 7 PM and 10 PM. With key events hosted at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, traffic authorities declared that 22 diversion points and more than 35 primary roads will experience regulated movement to facilitate delegate transit.

To minimize public inconvenience, traffic officials strongly recommended that air passengers utilize Metro services for travel toward Indira Gandhi International Airport. Authorities outlined designated alternate routes for road commuters traveling to Terminals 1, 2, and 3 from South, West, and New Delhi, advising travelers to plan additional travel time due to diversions along major stretches including Sardar Patel Marg, Ring Road, and Rao Tula Ram Marg.

Traffic police also released specific routing guidelines for citizens traveling to major railway hubs, including New Delhi, Old Delhi, and Hazrat Nizamuddin stations. Commuters traveling across central and south Delhi were advised to use ring roads and peripheral corridors like Rani Jhansi Marg and Outer Ring Road to bypass restricted zones during peak advisory hours.
