Tragedy Averted on Ajmer Train in Phagwara

Phagwara, 10 November 2024: A major accident was averted today near Guraya Phagwara when a fire broke out under the S4 coach of Jaipur Ajmer Train No. 19611.

The train, traveling from Ludhiana to Jalandhar, was forced to halt after the fire was detected.

According to Station Master Molly Sandeep Kumar, the issue was immediately flagged by Pointsman Deepak Roy, who was awarded Special Points 81 for his quick response.

Deepak displayed a red signal, prompting the train to stop, which allowed the fire to be contained.

The fire, which had ignited beneath the S4 coach, was successfully extinguished with the help of four fire cylinders, preventing any casualties.

Passengers in the S4 coach were initially alarmed, but there were no injuries reported. After a delay, the train resumed its journey.

This quick action by the railway staff ensured that the situation was brought under control, averting a potential disaster.
