SAS Nagar (Mohali), April 7 — Punjab MLA Kulwant Singh on Monday inaugurated ultra-modern classrooms at Government Elementary Smart School in Phase 7 and Government Primary School in Phase 2 of Mohali, stating that the AAP-led government is leading an “education revolution” in the state.
The new classrooms, developed under a state-funded campaign, are part of a broader initiative to upgrade facilities across 90 schools in Mohali. “Today’s era is one of technology and it’s crucial to move with the times,” said Singh. “These ultra-modern classrooms will strengthen Punjab’s education system.”
He said the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and supported by Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, has released crores of rupees to improve infrastructure in government schools.
“With the help of these funds, the condition of our government schools is changing rapidly,” said Singh. “Smart classrooms are transforming the way students learn, and now even parents are turning to government schools for their children’s education.”
He added that the AAP government has made providing quality facilities in government schools a top priority. “Teachers are shaping the future of the nation by educating our children, and it’s our responsibility to support them with the best resources,” he said.
Appealing to parents and local communities, Singh said: “Enroll your children in government schools to take full advantage of these improved facilities.”
He also highlighted the state’s focus on healthcare, citing the launch of Mohalla Clinics and the upcoming 50-acre medical college in Mohali. “Our government is committed to delivering top-quality education and healthcare to the people of Punjab,” he said. “We are working with full sincerity to fulfill that promise.”
