New Delhi, 17 February 2025 – A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck Delhi on Monday morning, sending strong tremors across the national capital and its surrounding areas. No immediate reports of damage or injuries were available.
According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake’s epicenter was near Durgabai Deshmukh College of Special Education in Dhaula Kuan. That area, which has a lake nearby, has experienced low-magnitude tremors every two to three years. “A 3.3-magnitude earthquake was recorded there in 2015,” an official told PTI.
