PATIALA, May 23: In a proud moment for Patiala, off-spinner Harjas Singh Tandon and left-arm spinner Aryaman Dhaliwal have been selected for the Indian team’s preparatory camp ahead of the Under-23 Asia Cup. Their selection was confirmed by the BCCI and hailed as a testament to the city’s growing cricket legacy.
Cricket Hub coach Kamal Sandhu attributed their success to the structured mentorship and rigorous training culture developed over the years at Patiala’s Cricket Hub, which has been producing a steady stream of national-level players.
The India U-23 Asia Cup Camp refers to a training and selection camp organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to prepare a squad for the Under-23 Asia Cup, a limited-overs international cricket tournament featuring Under-23 teams from Asian countries.
Purpose: To shortlist and train promising young cricketers under the age of 23 for the U-23 Asia Cup.
Participants: Talented domestic performers from India, usually selected based on their performance in tournaments like:
- C.K. Nayudu Trophy (U-23 domestic competition)
- Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy
- Vijay Hazare Trophy
- Ranji Trophy (younger players)
Camp Activities:

Goal: To finalise the Indian squad that will represent the country in the ACC U-23 Asia Cup, a tournament governed by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
