CHANDIGARH, July 29 — With HCS officer Shashi Vasundhara relieved from her posting in Chandigarh to return to her parent cadre in Haryana, the Union Territory administration has carried out a fresh round of administrative reshuffling.
HCS officer Radhika Singh, who recently assumed charge, has been handed a significant set of responsibilities during the leave period of fellow HCS officer Richa. Singh will now oversee five crucial portfolios: director and joint secretary of the food and supplies department, additional director of higher education, and joint secretary for the urban planning, Metro, and housing departments. These portfolios were earlier handled by PCS officers Pavitar Singh, Rubinderjeet Singh Brar, and Saurabh Kumar Arora.
The reshuffle also brings new responsibilities for other officers. IAS officer Mohammad Mansoor L has been assigned the additional charge of chief executive officer (CEO) of the Chandigarh Waqf Board, while retaining his current roles.
PCS officer Nitish Singla has been appointed Mission Director of the skill development mission. As per official orders, the mission will now report to the secretary, technical education. In view of this reassignment, Singla has been relieved of his duties as joint director (administration) at the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16.
The shake-up reflects the administration’s ongoing efforts to streamline functions amid transitions and temporary vacancies.
