Chandigarh, April 7: The Chandigarh UT administration is slated to launch its first e-auction for the 2026-27 financial year on May 15, offering 21 properties across the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. The initial phase of the drive includes 10 residential plots in prime sectors, seven commercial sites, and four industrial units, according to the government’s approved calendar.

A senior UT estate official stated that reserve prices for these properties are currently being determined. “The reserve price is being finalised and will be fixed as per the updated collector rates,” the official affirmed. This alignment follows a notification last month that raised collector rates between 8% and 22% across various property categories effective April 1.

Residential offerings feature plots in sought-after areas such as Sector 21, Sector 15-B, and Sector 37-A, with sizes ranging from 4 marla to over 2 kanals. Commercial buyers can bid on constructed booths in Sector 22-C and “quiet office” spaces in Sector 40-B, while the industrial segment includes plots up to three kanals in Phases 1, 2, and 3.

The administration maintained that all bidding will occur online to ensure transparency. This digital approach follows a successful session in September last year, where the administration generated ₹168.85 crore in revenue. During that exercise, intense competition led several residential sites to fetch more than double their reserve prices, including a Sector 33-C plot that sold for ₹33.41 crore.
