Uttarakhand, 27 December 2024 – Two roads in Uttarakhand have been renamed in tribute to Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, known for their remarkable bravery and sacrifice.
The Govindghat-Ghagharia Marg has been renamed Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Marg, while Bidaura Chhevin Patshahi Gate to Dhumkheda is now Sahibzada Fateh Singh Marg. The renaming coincided with Bal Veer Diwas, commemorating the Sahibzadas’ legacy.
Narinder Jeet Singh Bindra, Chairman of the Shri Hemkunt Sahib Managing Trust, expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand for this initiative. “This thoughtful act ensures their courage and sacrifice will continue to inspire future generations,” he said.
The Chief Minister accentuated the importance of the martyrs’ contributions, saying their unwavering determination serves as a powerful reminder to uphold values of faith and principle.
