October 13, 2024: Eleven people were killed in a clash between two tribal groups in Kurram district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, on Saturday, October 12.
According to reports, eight others sustained serious injuries and are receiving medical treatment.
However, the reasons for the dispute remain unclear.
Kurram Deputy Commissioner Javidullah Mehsud said that the violence began when two persons were injured in gunfire near the Kunj Alizai Mountains, close to the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
Police are actively working to restore order, he added.
