Gurugram/Faridabad, May 23: Four fresh Covid-19 cases have been reported from Haryana after an eight-month lull, with two each detected in Faridabad and Gurugram. All patients are currently in home isolation with mild symptoms, health officials said on Friday.

According to the state Health Department, the new cases include two men and two women — two of whom are senior citizens. Only one patient had a recent travel history to Mumbai.

The individuals, noticing symptoms, voluntarily got tested at a private laboratory. Health teams have since visited them and issued necessary precautions. Family members have been advised to monitor for symptoms and remain in contact with health workers.

“No advisory has been issued by the Centre or NCDC,” said Manish Bansal, Director General of Health Services. “This is endemic now. A few cases may arise occasionally, but there’s no reason to worry at the moment.”
