CHANDIGARH, April 22 – In a sweeping reshuffle, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered the transfer of 84 judicial officers across Punjab, significantly altering the state’s judicial landscape.

The list features several District and Sessions Judges. “These changes are part of routine administrative functioning to ensure better distribution of judicial resources,” said a senior High Court official familiar with the development.

Among those moved is District and Sessions Judge Hari Singh Grewal, who has been posted to Chandigarh from Mansa on deputation to fill a vacant position.

Judge Navjot Kaur, previously posted in Faridkot, will now serve as the Member Secretary of the Punjab State Legal Services Authority (PSLSA) in Mohali. The current PSLSA Member Secretary, Judge Manjinder Singh, has been recalled from deputation and assigned to Mansa.

Other major shifts include Judge Virinder Aggarwal’s transfer from Ferozepur to Faridkot, Judge Rajinder Aggarwal’s move from Gurdaspur to Hoshiarpur, and Judge Sumeet Malhotra’s shift from Bathinda to Ferozepur.

The decision, issued by the High Court on administrative grounds, marks one of the largest recent realignments in the state’s judiciary.
